Diether Maier
I support people in their professional and personal development processes with conviction, experience, and genuine interest in their individual stories. In my work, it's important to me that coaching doesn't feel distant or theoretical, but remains grounded in real life. I meet my clients as equals, with respect, appreciation, and empathy. The individual is always at the heart of my approach. I am convinced that every person is fundamentally healthy, reflective, and resourceful, and seeks targeted professional support to develop new perspectives or to navigate challenges more clearly.

My career
My professional approach has been strongly influenced by my own career. For over 30 years, I was an executive in a publicly traded, internationally operating company. During this time, I experienced firsthand how complex modern work environments are, how intense the pressure on those in positions of responsibility can be, and how crucial it is to lead others with empathy and compassion without neglecting one's own needs. Combined with my training as a psychological counselor, this experience helps me today to realistically assess situations and truly understand the challenges my clients face – not just theoretically, but from my own practical experience.
Qualified psychological consultant, personal and business coach
Along with the mandatory Coaching Basic Seminar for the training to become a psychological counselor, I gained a total of 150 hours of practical coaching experience through additional in-person seminars offered by the Dr. Migge Group, including: Solution-Focused Coaching, Cognition, Positive Psychology, Coaching for Executives, and Meaning-Oriented Coaching. In 2025, I coached more than 20 clients for another 150 hours, receiving exclusively 5-star ratings and a 100% recommendation rate in the feedback.
My working methods
In my work, I place great value on integrity, trust, and discretion. Clients are neither judged nor exposed. For me, coaching is not a "repair process," but rather professional support for people who consciously want to work on themselves and their situation. I see my role as that of a servant coach – with the principle of "quality over quantity." Every collaboration is based on trust, openness, and a clear shared goal: sustainable development that truly suits the individual. All coaching tools and methods I use are tried and tested and align with my values.
Values-oriented coaching
I chose the name of my website very deliberately. For me, values-based coaching means considering people not just in their role or function, but as whole individuals. Decisions, behavior, and satisfaction depend heavily on whether they align with one's own values. Therefore, my coaching focuses not only on quick fixes, but on sustainable development that suits the individual and their life situation. Values provide orientation, stability, and clarity – especially during complex professional or personal transitions. The goal is to make decisions that are sustainable in the long term and feel authentic.
member of the DFC
After completing my training as a psychological counselor, I was accepted into the German Coaching Association (DFC) and consistently adhere to its quality criteria and coaching ethics. The DFC is committed to the professionalization and ethical development of coaching. It stands for transparent standards, ongoing professional development, and clearly defined values. For this reason I strictly adhere to the ethical standards of the DFC:

It is particularly important to me that coaching is not limited to a business context but is understood as a tool for empowering people worldwide. Therefore, like all DFC members, I financially support initiatives that promote self-help. The goal is to create fairer structures and enable opportunities – not through charity, but through genuine empowerment and responsibility.
